I'm not a professional photographer nor do I claim to be one. I'm an amateur at the most.
I got turned off with photography because when I started, film was still in full swing - the cost of buying a film, having it processed, and making sure that majority of the shots you took were not f*cked up. You were also limited to 36 shots, and again you had to make sure majority of your shots were exposed properly, otherwise it's money down the drain. The digital format came as a blessing. You can instantly see your shots and reshoot immediately if you messed up, and you are also not limited to 36 shots. The Lazy Photographer is a site which will feature pictures shot using an m4/3 (micro Four-Thirds) camera system. A comapct camera system which I believe will benefit those who are adamant to lug big dSLRs but find point-and-shoot cameras lacking. While I will try not to do gear reviews, The Lazy Photographer will try to showcase m4/3 associated gears or other gears which will benefit m4/3 users out there. The Lazy Photographer is not about laziness or the lazy guy behind the camera, it is more for those who want to go around and shoot without the bulky gear. Hence, do not be misled by the title of my site. The Lazy Photographer is a stand-alone site to "showcase" my photographic skills (or lack of it). I have another site, which while also contains some of the pictures I've shot over the years, it is more geared toward my bread-and-butter, which is graphic design. As much as possible, I avoid post-processing as I want to present each picture the way I have seen them with my own eyes. The only post-processing my pictures undergo are the inclusion of my logo, watermark, resizing for file size reduction, and cropping if needed. At present, all pictures here are shot for my personal enjoyment and amusement. I am not accepting professional work at the moment but I am open to do shoots on a tight budget. -The Lazy Photographer |
